10 Tips to Achieve Any Goal

Don’t let your circumstances define who you are and what you do.

Are you feeling victimized by shortcomings and circumstances in your life? We all at one time for another look for that magic bullet that will solve all of life’s problems. I’ve been there too, I still am sometimes.

If only I lost weight, or if I do this course it will change my life. I have spent so much money and wasted countless hours on searching for things external to myself that will fix everything.

What I was to discuss today is this one simple principle: Don’t let your circumstances define who you are and what you do.

In other words, don’t place the hope of future success in the hands of some external factor or ‘magic bullet’. Relying on someone or something to save you only disempowers you and paralyses your ability to think clearly, creatively and quickly. Instead, take charge of shaping your own circumstances, and good, positive, game-changing things will begin to happen.

Whether you want to completely change your life or you just want to fine tune small aspects of it. Here are 10 tips that will help ignite your power of personal accountability, to take ownership for your actions, decisions, successes and failures.

1) Take back accountability

Does the word accountability make you cringe? The negative association we have with this word is explained best by the common dictionary definition: “Subject to having to report, explain or justify; being answerable, responsible.”

Staying true to yourself, your goals and aspirations shouldn’t be a drag. View being accountable to yourself as a gift, change your mindset to ensure success. It’s not something you HAVE to do, it’s something you WANT to do, right?
